Search and Rescue Two - $149

 

Class Curriculum: Rules and regulations of Search and Rescue, requirements for handlers and canines, public place policy, equipment list and pack, test procedures, Gold Star Search and Rescue procedures, what a disaster is, hazardous material, conducting a search operation, air scent, forms, single room search, multi room search, reviewing the canine test, sending the dogs in, rubble search, field search, grid, wind direction, spacing and command center. Rules and regulations of Water Rescue, requirements for handlers and canines, conducting a search operation, air scent, wind direction, scent location techniques and much more.

 

Requirement: Please understand that signing up for the class does not automatically grant you access into the class. A pre-class evaluation will be done on your dog. You must pass with a 100% score. The evaluation consist of: Aggression test, dog to dog contact, dog to human contact, crowd without dogs, crowd with other dogs, play drive, hunt drive, and find the handler.

 

Special Notes:

 

Certifications are given by Gold Star Dog Training and DRA.

Certifications are National Search and Rescue Certifications.

Must be a member of GSKC to be on Call Out List.

 

Length: Six weeks / every other week
